Elvish Circlets

I'm still making Elvish Circlets, inspired by the elves from Lord of the Rings. I don't always have a lot of them in my store, but you can always request a custom order! Just visit my shop at BeasleysWonders.etsy.com (they range in price from $100-$250 and take 2-3 weeks to make)

New! The Everyday Boho Collection

Greetings!

I have just created a new shop section on my Etsy site: BeasleysWonders.etsy.com. It is a collection of circlets created specifically to be worn with your everyday outfits! Each one can be worn traditionally across the forehead as a circlet, or be worn as a headband. You'll find lots of flowers and the hottest colors of the season.

Halloween!

It's a wasted Halloween if I don't get to dress up at least twice, and this year I had three chances!

First was the pumpkin patch when my family came to town. I am a female version of Robin Hood (I'm in the back second from the left). There is also a witch, a fairy, Dr. Who, and Amy Pond.

Next was trunk-or-treating. I was a witch!

And finally, Halloween night, passing out candy to trick-or-treater's. I was going for the look of a genie, though sadly I don't have a magic lamp or bottle.

October!!!!

I can't tell you how excited I am that it is October! My birth month, autumn, Halloween! Good things abound, and I've already started decorating my house for Halloween.

I've even gone so far as photoshop photos of my family into goblins, wizards, and witches

Fortune Teller II

I had a little fun with my photos for my Etsy store. This is a snapshot of a selection of my items. Notice the looks I'm giving to the 'Fortune Tellers Head Piece' in the photos beside and under it. Just another way of amusing myself.  :)

Creepy Fortune Teller

I just have to share this photo because I think it is hilarious! I just have a great time making circlets, and taking photos too! This circlet is so very eclectic that I had to take a silly photo, then I went into Photoshop and made it even sillier. Reminds me of a crazy witch living in the swamp. Maybe Tia Dalma from Pirates of the Caribbean, or Mama Odie from Disney's The Princess and the Frog.

Here is the link to view the circlet in my Etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/listing/152821726/fortune-tellers-head-piece?ref=shop_home_active

Arwen Headdress Circlet Reproductions from Lord of the Rings

Ever since picking up and reading my mothers copy of Lord of the Rings, I have loved the world of Middle Earth. It is such a rich world with many different types of people and places. When the movies came out, I saw each of them three times each in the theaters.

Of all the races of the world, I always wanted to be an elf. They are a merry race, yet also graceful and deadly. So when the movies came out, I absorbed all I could about the lands of the elves.

Then one day I was sitting and making princess circlets, and I decided I wanted to reproduce the headdress that Arwen wears during Aragorn's coronation. She was so lovely, and the headdress so intricate. So I bought some HUGE large butterflies and some great filigree pieces, and created the headdress below:

And I went even further:

And people liked it and I was asked to create it in clear beads:

And I told myself: why limit myself to the butterfly? So I branched out:

They take a while to make, and my fingers are sore for a while after, but they are so worth the time and pain (the pain is mostly from having to straighten my hair for the photos! HOURS of work to make my curly locks lie straight).
Just another step into making myself, and others, into the fair race of elves.
